Thai Culture and History
Today Alex's Mum came to speak to us about Thai Culture and history. We learnt a lot about Thai Traditions from Chiang Mai and their origins. We tried traditional Thai food from Chiang Mai, listened to music, learnt about Thai dress and rituals from the temple and found out how Songkran is celebrated in the north. It was awesome! Thank you Alex's mum. We also were given gifts to keep in our classroom and help us with our studies.

Bonfire Night
This week Mr Ellis came to speak to us about his English culture. We learnt all about Bonfire Night and the traditions people have in England. Did you know that Bonfire Night is celebrated because Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament and kill the King James I?! It happened on 5th November and is known as the gunpowder plot.
